Caimanera, Guantanamo. -The demand for the U.S. usurper to return the portion of Cuban territory that it maintains occupied without legal or moral support was ratified yesterday in the first anti-imperialist trench of the nation, venue of the provincial act for July 26, in the easternmost of the Cuban provinces.
“We demand that it be returned to us now!”. In reiterating the demand, Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Guantánamo, recalled that the occupation of that part of patriotic soil attempts against the sovereignty and development of the country.

Hundreds of inhabitants came to the square of this town of salt miners and fishermen. With loud applause and cheers to the heroes and martyrs, they ratified Guantánamo’s support to the Cuban Revolution that had a milestone in the events of July 26th, 1953.
“Work hard and united, on the basis of established priorities and policies”, such is the decision in the Upper East. “The moment is challenging, and we must triumph,” said Pérez García.
Minutes later, the cutting of a ribbon inaugurated a commercial telecommunications office, which is among the fifty or so works of direct impact on the residents of the town.
