Cuba y China inauguran nueva sede de hospital oftalmológico

Representantes de Cuba y China inauguraron la nueva sede de un hospital oftalmológico con especialistas de ambos países, como parte de una colaboración de más de diez años, precisó el sitio Cubaminrex.
De acuerdo con la cónsul general de la Isla en Shanghái, Mileidy Aguirre, el intercambio médico en esta especialidad entre la nación antillana y la provincia de Anhui tiene su origen en la visión a largo plazo de los líderes Fidel Castro y Hu Jintao.
La diplomática aseguró que la cooperación entre las dos partes benefició a más de 400 000 pacientes en estos años, lo cual fomentó la gran acogida por parte de la población local. «La nueva sede del Hospital Oftalmológico Amistad Cuba-China constituye otro hito en la colaboración en materia de Salud», señaló.
La Cónsul reiteró el agradecimiento al Gobierno chino, a empresas y en especial al II Hospital Popular de Anhui, «por el envío de toneladas de suministros médicos, indispensables para romper el cerco del bloqueo de Estados Unidos en el contexto del combate contra la pandemia» en la nación antillana.
En otro momento, destacó el excelente estado de las relaciones entre Cuba y China, y en particular subrayó los consensos alcanzados entre los presidentes Miguel Díaz-Canel y Xi Jinping.
En Anhui, los médicos caribeños recibieron numerosos reconocimientos por sus servicios, como el de Membresía Honorífica en la Asociación de Personalidades Extranjeras y el premio al Buen Médico de Anhui, otorgado por las autoridades provinciales de Salud, reseñó Cubaminrex.

The Cuba-China political consultations, held in virtual format this Tuesday, give continuity to the exchanges held at different levels and in different formats this year, as an expression of the high priority that both governments grant to their close ties of friendship and cooperation.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, and her Chinese counterpart, Xie Feng, highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations, while ratifying the common will to continue strengthening the inter-ministerial dialogues.
The parties highlighted the high level of agreement, coincidence and reciprocal support in international organizations, always in favor of multilateralism, the principles of International Law and the role of the United Nations, reported the CubaMinrex site.
The Vice Minister thanked the Asian giant for its solidarity, and acknowledged its invariable position of condemning the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
For his part, Xie Feng recognized Cuba’s position of unrestricted support for the “one China” principle and rejection of interference in its internal affairs.

China en el 2021 Foto: XINHUA El secretario general del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China (PCCh) y presidente chino, Xi Jinping, expresó su gratitud a los líderes cubanos, quienes felicitaron a China por la completa victoria en el alivio de la pobreza.
Según refiere la agencia Xinhua, Xi envió una carta como respuesta a una misiva recibida recientemente de parte del General de Ejército Raúl Castro Ruz, Primer Secretario del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba, y del Presidente cubano, Miguel Díaz-Canel.
Al señalar que China y Cuba son buenos amigos, buenos camaradas y buenos hermanos, Xi dijo que en los últimos años la amistad tradicional de los dos países se ha profundizado y su cooperación amistosa ha experimentado un desarrollo integral, refiere la agencia asiática.

En la carta enviada desde Cuba, se extiende una cálida felicitación en nombre del Partido Comunista de Cuba, el gobierno y el pueblo cubanos, por la victoria de China en el alivio de la pobreza, indica Xinhua.
Se elogió también el notable logro de China en la erradicación de la pobreza absoluta bajo el fuerte liderazgo del PCCh con Xi en su centro, que ha cumplido con el objetivo de erradicación de la pobreza establecido en la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas 10 años antes de lo previsto.
Cuba está dispuesta a profundizar inquebrantablemente las relaciones de cooperación amistosa de los dos países, agregaron.

El pasado 25 de febrero, Xi declaró a China libre de ese flagelo, gracias a una campaña que desde 2012 permitió mejorar las condiciones de vida de 98,99 millones de individuos y en los 832 condados rurales más desfavorecidos del país, reseña Prensa Latina.
De manera general, la nación asiática desde finales de la década de 1970 sacó a más de 770 millones de personas de la pobreza.
Además, cumplió con esa meta de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible de Naciones Unidas una década antes de lo programado.

Guterres señaló que China ha seguido «una serie de políticas» que han impulsado las inversiones en las capacidades productivas nacionales, la agricultura y el desarrollo rural, en particular las infraestructuras, la protección social y los servicios de salud y educativos.
«Este enfoque contribuyó a incrementar la productividad, creó empleos y sacó a millones de personas de la pobreza extrema de acuerdo con el objetivo de 2020 del Gobierno», destacó.
Guterres instó a la comunidad internacional a trabajar junta de forma más cooperativa para erradicar la pobreza en todas sus formas y no dejar a nadie atrás.

BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping said Monday that China is willing to walk together with Cuba in building socialism and be good partners in pursuing common development in a phone conversation with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel. Xi also said China is willing to join hands with Cuba in being good exemplars of anti-COVID-19 fight and good comrades in strategic coordination. In their talks, Diaz-Canel conveyed Comrade Raul Castro’s sincere greetings to Xi, and briefed Xi on the recent domestic situation in Cuba. Xi asked Diaz-Canel to convey his cordial greetings to Comrade Raul Castro. Xi pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, Cuban comrades have forcefully defended their revolutionary achievements with no fear for the powerful and unyielding struggle. Historically speaking, the socialist cause has never been smooth, and the communists have always strived for survival, development and victory through struggles, he said. China, Xi said, always believes that the right to choose one nation’s own path of social development should be respected, and that unilateral sanctions against other countries or external interference in other countries’ internal affairs should be opposed. Cuba firmly follows the socialist path and is willing to strengthen inter-party exchanges and communication with China, as well as practical cooperation in various fields, and to jointly promote the cause of socialism and the development of Cuba-China relations, Diaz-Canel said.
